Getting Started

What's in the Dogosophy Button's package

TRANSMITTER: this is the blue Button that your dog will use to switch on and off the appliance it controls. The transmitter is battery operated and requires three AA batteries. To make your button more environmentally friendly, we recommend that you use rechargeable batteries.  You can access the battery chamber by unscrewing the bottom part of the transmitter. Once the button is fixed to a surface, you can access the battery chamber by unscrewing the top part of the transmitter away from the fixed bottom.

RECEIVER: this is the device that will register the on and off signal from the button to control the appliance connected to it. If the Button and the receiver become unpaired, please press and hold the small white button on top of the receiver and the Button at the same time for 30 seconds. When the receiver is on and paired with the Button, it will display a small bright light. A blue light indicates that it has become unpaired with the Button.

FIXINGS: you will use these to install the Button. You can use either the screws or double-adhesive fasteners supplied, depending on which surface you choose to place your Button.

How to set up the Button

Plug the receiver directly into a mains socket and then plug the appliance you choose to pair into it. Turn on the receiver pressing the small white button on top of it.  Whenever the receiver is on, it displays a small light. Then you can use the Button with your dog.

Once you have set-up the Button with the appliance you want it to control, switch the appliance on at the mains. The transmitter is now ready to the used by your dog to switch the appliance off and on again as required.

The Button is safe to use with any plug-in household appliance up to 13 Amps (Typically, 2200 – 3000W). You can un-plug and use it with other appliances, but make sure the Button transmitter and the receiver are paired before you start.
